A Mexican meal at Suy’s always ends with something sweet. Our Postres Desserts menu brings together four favorites from Mexican street food and home cooking: golden churros, grilled elotes, creamy esquites, and crispy fried ice cream. Because we make each one fresh in our Tampa kitchen, nothing gets pulled from a freezer or microwaved to order. As a result, every bite tastes like it was made that day.

We fry our churros until the outside turns golden and crisp. Afterward, we roll them in cinnamon sugar while they’re still warm. To finish the plate, we add a side of chocolate dipping sauce. In other words, you get crunchy edges and a soft, slightly chewy center, which is exactly what makes churros one of the most recognizable desserts in Mexican cuisine. Feel free to order a plate on your own, or split one at the table. Either way, most people wish they had ordered more.
Elotes start as grilled corn on the cob. From there, we brush it with mayo, dust it in cotija-style cheese, and finish it with chili powder and a squeeze of lime. As a result, you get the same combination street vendors serve across Mexico: smoky, creamy, salty, and a little spicy in one bite. If you’re new to Mexican street corn, this is the place to start.
Think of esquites as elotes’ easier-to-eat cousin. Specifically, you get the same charred corn, mayo, cheese, chili, and lime, but served loose in a cup instead of on the cob. Because of that, it’s the better choice if you want all the flavor of elote without needing a napkin for every bite. So, try both, and you’ll probably end up with a favorite you order every time.
Our fried ice cream runs on contrast. On the outside, a crisp, golden shell wraps around smooth vanilla ice cream that stays cold and creamy inside. To finish, we add whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle. For that reason, the texture is half the reason people order it, and the flavor is the other half. In short, this is the dish people come back specifically to get.
